SushiCraft

Role: Lead UX Designer

SushiCraft is a food customization app for a fictional restaurant, making sushi ordering more accessible to individuals with food restrictions or preferences. I am independently developing this product through the Google UX Design course. The primary target users are university students with busy schedules who face time, budget, and cooking skill constraints but still want healthy, customizable meal options. Thus far, I have conducted user research; created user personas and problem statements; drawn out user journey maps; sketched paper and digital wireframes; produced a low-fidelity prototype through Figma; and carried out usability studies.

  1. Understanding the user:

  • User research - interviewed 4 individuals who eat sushi (one was lactose intolerant, one was vegetarian)

  • User persona - Emma, student intern

  • Problem statement - “Emma is a university student intern who needs access to quick, customizable food options because she has wants to impress her coworkers and has busy school/work schedule and doesn’t have time to cook home meals.”

  • User journey map - see below

2. Starting the design:

  • Paper wireframes -

  • Low-fidelity prototype -

  • Digital wireframes -

3. Refining the design (coming soon!):

  • Usability studies

  • Mockups

  • High-fidelity prototype

  • Accessibility
